Using Extraordinary Abilities

As noted earlier, spellcasting and paranormal abilities of various kinds all get extraordinary ability Thresholds to measure how much paranormal power they're packing (ie, how many times the abilities associated with them can be used). Each time these abilities are used, their extraordinary ability Threshold is depleted by an amount equal to the "drain" of the ability in question. When the threshold falls to a negative number, further attempts to use an ability which depletes that threshold are at a penalty equal to that negative number. When the threshold becomes as negative or more negative than it is positive when full (for example, when a threshold of 3 becomes -3 or lower), abilities associated with that threshold are no longer usable.
