This is a plead for creating magic items. It specifically allows the enchanted item to detect the presence of specific kinds of beings or objects (but not specific beings or objects) within a given range. The add-on module, Finding Presences, allows the enchanted object to show directionality thus giving the user the ability to dowse for something.
