Herb Addiction Symptoms

There are three levels of possible symptoms which may occur in the event of withdrawal from addiction: mild (M), average (A), and severe (S). If a character is experiencing withdrawl, roll on this chart a number of times equal to the number after the aforementioned letter. Each roll will tell you whether to roll on the Physical, Psychiatric, or Permanent section of the Herb Addiction Symptoms chart. Do this as many times as needed to decide how the character is affected, or just pick some symptoms that sound like fun.

Of course, this chart is not exhaustive, and it needn’t even be used at all unless you’re stuck for a better idea. Cravings are generally assumed to be another aspect of withdrawl. Feel free to apply penalties to activity as a result of the symptoms. After the withdrawal symptoms have ceased to be especially interesting to the story, they fade away on their own. These symptoms can also be treated as side effects instead of withdrawal symptoms as needed. Apply these results to specific body parts as needed; if an herb affects the eyes and you get a “dryness” result, it’s probably logical to assume the symptoms are affecting they eyes.
