Healing

 

Most Story Arc characters (humans, anyway) typically heal wounds less than their entire Wound Threshold at a rate of one point of threshold per day. If their wound levels drop below zero, the wound requires medical attention (a successful Intellect + Medicine check with a penalty equal to the penalty the wound imparts) before they will begin to heal on their own. Lack of medical equipment of any kind (not even, say, cloth for a sling) means a penalty of -6 to this roll; a basic first aid kit allows the roll to be made without penalty.
