DumplingDumplings
Note: This chart may need to be updated.
The dumpling is the offspring of the hobbit and the troll, and is quite possibly the most frequently disparaged intelligent creature on the world. Besides "dumplings," these quietly obnoxious creatures are referred to alternately as "trobbits," "trobblings," "hobbles," and "holls" (pronounced "holes"), or occasionally (and more insultingly) as "hobbutts" or "plugs." Fortunately for them, Dumplings are not generally inclined to give great credence to what others think.
Dumplings inheret many of the stubby facets of their halfling parentage and a good percentage of the lumbering idiocy of their troll parentage. They are, in fact, almost as wide as they are tall. Though they are in fact taller than halflings and smarter than trolls, few are tall enough to become models or smart enough to become engineers. Like halflings, they have easily addictive temperaments, but like trolls, they have little interest in domestic tasks and instead become addicted to things like sitting around doing nothing, or moving rocks around. They are inclined to steal things which take their fancy, but unlike the kinder they are not sophisticated kleptomaniacs. They merely take what they want and deny the fact that they did so, even though it may be entirely obvious.
Dumplings do have an incredible ability to resist damage and magic. They are also incredibly stubborn and can almost never be made to do anthing they don't want to do.
