Determining Experience Point QuantityDetermining Experience Point Quantity
It can be difficult to know how many experience points to award for any given session of play. While every GM will probably develop his own sense of this, a good starting place is around 10 to 15 experience points. Optionally, in order to make the number of points awarded somewhat less arbitrary, players can jot down their characters' most significant actions when they aren't occupied during play. With this list, a player can make a case for deserving lots of experience points. Then, after the game, the GM can go through these lists and assign an experience point value to each deed. The amounts are then totaled, and characters can spend the points. The list, if saved, can also provide a reminder of events that took place during previous sessions.
